Create a unique genre grouping others genres

Hello,

I am new to Musicrainz
I use MusicBrainz for Windows for the moment.

I would like to know if it is possible to create a unique genre grouping others genres.

For example : “Rap”, grouping “Rap & Hip-Hop” “Rap” “Hip-Hop”, etc

Some plugins have had this kind of functionality (last.fm plus, which I believe doesn’t work anymore - but there is a newer version). However, all the tags will still go into the genre tag. If you want software that will group genres for you on the fly, you might check out MusicBee, which has a customizable “genre category” function that reads the genre tag and assigns a genre category based on your criteria.
