Corrupted files

Hi, I just recently installed Kodi and it was recommended to use MB to tag my music, which I did. Unfortunately it corrupted some file tags so that Kodi doesn’t import them properly. I want to take a folder and clear out all the extended tags which I can’t seem to do. I also tried to remove all the MB tags, which doesn’t seem possible. I highlighted the MB tags and when right clicking, the Remove Tag is not available. I also cannot clear out the tag contents.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

  1. What file tags specifically did it corrupt/is Kodi now unable to read?
  2. Do you have backups? (If not, hopefully you’ve learned to always make backups now.)
  3. What file format are you using (FLAC, MP3, Ogg Vorbis, …)?
  4. What version of Picard are/were you using?
  5. What version of Kodi are/were you using?
  6. Which operating system (Linux, Windows, …) are you using? (If Linux, which distribution?)

I’m sure there are other information you could give us which might enable us to provide you any of the assistance you request.
