But it can also be accessed, not directly , by just letting your CD play tracks from track 3, without using the next track button nor the digit (jump to track) buttons of your CD player.

I overlooked the word directly. It’s not like the pregap of track 1 which can only be accessed by rewinding from index 1. And it will be part of the preceding track when ripped by standard software. So you would not know about from reading the TOC. You actually have to listen to it.
I think I’ve understood now. There’s no use of looking for gaps between tracks.
