Hello, i can’t figure it out why Picard is tagging my Black Sabbath albums as the former name of the band “Earth”.

Likely because it has an alias in https://musicbrainz.org/artist/5182c1d9-c7d2-4dad-afa0-ccfeada921a8/aliases setting Earth as primary alias for English (which looks incorrect to me, but not sure) and you have Metadata > Translate artist names to this locale where possible option set to English.
Try uncheck this option and it should ignore this alias.
