Apollo Editor Userscript

whahaha thank you. I knew I did something wrong. Just one one more question. Maybe it’s my lettertype but I dont see the difference between a normal ’ and the one we need to use

We know you did Tiske

Can you give me the chars you have problems with as this works fine:

See the word Would’t. That ’ needs so be changed to the right one. And when I change it to the correct one I dont see the difference between the two in Apollo screen. I do see the difference in original screen

Is there a way to change it with Apollo or do I have to go back to original?

@Tiske_Tisja, please paste here “the right one”, as text but in the code

All I am seeing by quick glance at your edits is

' -> ’

and both can be distinguished in Apollo.

'—> ’

do you mean this? sorry my english is not that good.

In appolo I dont see the difference between those. They look a like so much

Again, this is how it looks in my Fireox:

Not sure what to do here but will think about it.

Thank you for your help :-). Maybe I need new glasses whahahahaha

Maybe you don’t. Here it is just for you, and probably all of us at some moment:

New Appearance option: Enlarge punctuation by N px.

Try it on latest (not released yet, it will hijack your stable version if u installed that one)

Thank you so much, I’m going to test it

Edit: Fantastic !!! Really happy now

Nice @Tiske_Tisja and thank you for observation. I like it very much myself. Although I don’t go around fixing quotes, they certainly get diffed and now its obvious why.

In new release big new feature - Discogs matching and sync-ing. This is inspired by Credit Hoarder review table.

When release contains Discogs link, the following thing happens:

  1. Match will look into discogs release, and try to find artists in MB by Discogs URL links and position in the tracklist. This makes imports from Discogs very pedantic and extremely fast to do.
  2. If you add new artist from the tracklist, Discogs link will be added too.
  3. All pre-existing artists will be checked for links, and if they do not exist or do not match, it will be reported and shown. This feature alone made me fix a dozen releases while testing, all assigned to wrong but correctly named artists.

This is how it looks while matching, when adding a new release from Discogs and no release group is set:

You can see in Match column phrase disc which marks that artist is resolved via Discogs URL.

This screenshot shows editing existing release that has Discogs link. This particular one has 11 missing links and 2 mismatched links, 1 of which was due to wrong artist set:

This is behind matching option so you can disable it, but why would you do that… it doesn’t block editing in any way and resolves pretty fast.

Besides this, join phrases that are missing and/or do not have spaces are now highlighted both in tracklist and recordings

@Tiske_Tisja, FYI, since recently you have S&R Chains that you can use to replace set of chars automatically. Set chain as default to make it run automatically. After that you can forget about chasing quotes on your own, it’s resolved on its own as soon as you enter edit.

So I found something quite annoying with the track matcher. When I’m editing SiIvagunner releases, I need to make the joke name to the actual name. So I need to search the recording in the search bar

But it shows the search after the useless recomendations, and I need to scroll down to find what I need (In that case I got lucky, but it happens 90% of the time). Would be great to maybe have both side by side, or something like that?

Sometimes I also need to switch back to the regular page just because the list is so condensed that I don’t see the start of the search results

You can collapse suggestions and it will be remembered. Click on the label (notice little carret)

I noticed there is a rate limit issue so it’s not clear if there are no results or there was a rate limit. I reported it here and it should be fixed.

Oh that’s an easy fix lol

But the issue of search returning nothing is pretty common, even without userscripts, so expected.

NOTE: Future issues should be reported on GitHub as I won’t be looking much here.
