The phrase “(volume 4)” is printed next to the catalog number on this release. I can’t find any explanation for it. Does anyone know why it’s there? I can’t find any reference to the existence of vols. 1 - 3.
Not knowing the artist, it is tricky to answer. I’d look at the cat no patterns and realise it isn’t part of the cat no. I poke around at discogs and find no clues. My time machine is offline so I can’t nip back to 1987 to check.
I’d leave the crumbs in the annotation to see if anyone else can pick them up.
Ignoring the “with jackalope” album, it could just be his fourth release based on this list ( R. Carlos Nakai discography - Wikipedia )
