# Adding artist photo

For example, Alfa Mist. No picture exists but I would like to add one. What is the procedure?

Short answer: the only way to add an artist photo is via a link to [Wikimedia Commons](https://commons.wikimedia.org/). So either there needs to already be a photo there, or you need to upload an appropriately licensed one.

Or indirectly via [Wikidata](https://www.wikidata.org/).

Only currently no artist images are displayed until [this](https://community.metabrainz.org/t/image-not-appearing-on-artist-page/410120/2) issue is resolved.

Cool. Thanks for the reply. I guess I didn’t go back far enough. I’m a victim of the great Last.FM purge and trying to keep my station art flowing. I look forward to contributing
