Add the Emilian language (egl) in the MusicBrainz language list

Hello, I would like to request the addition of the Emilian language in the MusicBrainz language list (as there are songs that use that language).

It is, after all, an independent Gallo-Italic language with the official ISO 639-3 code egl.

Hi Simon,

You’d best create a ticket for your request, as it may get lost on the forum.

To do that:

  1. Go to https://tickets.metabrainz.org

  2. Log in or create an account and login

  3. Click on the button “Create”

  4. Choose the project “MusicBrainz Server”, issue type “Task” (I think that’s the most appropriate one) and the component “Language”, like so:

  5. And write your request in the description. It might be useful to describe what you need the language for.

And to give weight to your request, try to list at least 5 work URL that need this language.

Actually I saw this here anyway, so no need for the ticket this time :slight_smile: I just unhid the language now - it should now be available for use.
