What happens to my open edits when no one looks at them?

If nobody votes on them the edits will be accepted and the changes applied.
It’s not made as obvious as it could be, but you should see in the sidebar to the right of an edit:
If no votes cast: Accept upon closing
Although (if the edit is open) it also says:
This edit is open and awaiting votes before it can be applied.
I suppose that could be read as meaning that the edit needs votes before it can be applied, which it doesn’t.
